Mike was born and raised in Buffalo in a family devoted to social and economic justice—his mother committed her life to advancing accessibility resources and his father led the struggle for occupational safety and health before spending the rest of his career fighting for working people in the courtroom.  Mike carries on their legacy.

A graduate of City Honors, Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and UB Law School, Mike has studied and trained how to best advance the interests of working people in the 21st Century.  He has worked for local politicians and volunteered for national campaigns as well as social and economic justice organizations like the Cornell Organization for Labor Action, Coalition for Economic Justice, and WNY Law Center.  During law school, Mike worked as a server where he helped organize several wage theft lawsuits in Buffalo’s restaurant industry.  As an attorney, Mike represents working people in state court and in front of administrative agencies like the National Labor Relations Board and Board of Immigration Appeals.
